This place will narrate the journey of the Century of Turkey, from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic, through visual and experiential presentations.
The tragic accident of the sinking of the Ertuğrul Frigate, which went down in history, laid the foundation for the unity of the Turkish and Japanese peoples. This disaster, which occurred in 1890, strengthened the ties between Turkey and Japan during Japan's modernization process. Japanese villagers showed great hospitality to the Turkish sailors who survived the storm and welcomed them into their homes. This event marks the most significant beginning of the deep friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.
In the design of the Ertuğrul Frigate, an artistic work in the form and texture of the Fairy Chimneys has been created to allow access to the interior and the upper floor designed as a mezzanine. A model of the Cappadocia Balloons, with the flags of participating countries, is also displayed in this area. Additionally, the walls leading to the interior of the frigate are adorned with Göbeklitepe figures, specially designed for this area.
